Details for 2011′s Hidden Earth are available. This years event is being held in Monmouth, South Wales on September 23rd-25th. Last years event was a big success, and i would strongly recommend going if you would like to know more about Caving! Because of its convenient location close to the Brecons there is no reason why we cant try and make a weekend out of it and stay in a hut. Currently SWCC is booked, however there are more close by that we could use, Westminster or Whitewalls… There is camping available on site, but this can be decided in the near future…
If there is enough interest then a hut can be booked. Please email me (mkb9) if you would like to go, also I will be sending this out as an email. Please note that the club will not be organising tickets to the event, these you can do yourself. Check there site; http://hidden-earth.org.uk/index2.html

Hey guys I’m selling some kit, as follows:
SOLD Beaver adjustable knee pads (dirty but very good condition)
£5 (new online: ~£12: Bernies cafe/caving supplies)
Warmbac neoprene wetsocks, short, size 6 (very good condition)
£8 (new online: £18: starless river)
SOLD Beaver neoprene hood, size: large (very good condition)
£8 (new online: ~£15: caving supplies)
SOLD Showa Thermo thermal gloves, size: medium, rough front rubber grip (never used – spare pair, very good if you’re prone to getting cold hands when caving)
£2 (new online: ~£3-5: various sites)
There’s a lot of savings here. If you’re going to be continuing caving then these prices are a bargain, unless you are loaded like Henry and price isn’t a problem and can buy new kit and shiny computers, but anyway…
email me or give me a text if you’re interested:

From the ogof.org.uk website, you can now download a Google Earth file to view the locations of the majority of Welsh caves and digs. Useful if you need to know exactly where entrances are…
The file can be found here

Personally I think this is great. Though the words Who and Why spring to mind. And people, bear in mind that the cave is likely to contain pitches. If you want to partake in a trip here and you’re not confident with your SRT, get in touch with Chris.
