Club t-shirt competition

As Luke mentioned at the last social, we’re after logo designs for a new t-shirt. Email me your sketches/drawings, and I will put them here on the website so we can vote for an overall winner. Don’t worry if you can’t draw – the idea is more important so just a sketch will do. If you need some inspiration, have a look at ideas from last year…

Hoodies and CHECC

There’s been lots of emails recently, so to summarise:

CHECC – is on 26-28th Nov and will be a fantastic weekend away with other uni clubs up in Yorkshire. Cost of the event is £20 (excluding transport), so please bring this to the social tonight if you want to come so the booking form can be sent off.
Hoodies – will feature the ACC logo opposite and be dark green. £23 at the social please if you want one. Nicknames and sizes will be taken from the list in log book so make sure it’s all correct.
Tonight is the first social since moving to a Tuesday (Fountain @ 9 as usual). There’s a fancy dress theme of ‘cartoon characters’.

More Club Clothing and Oh Henry

Rural Devon’s bus service leaves much to be desired. Where I’m from they come in threes, and so it is with ACC clothing. Matt and Ian at Beast have made us up some ACC branded belay belts. They are selling like hot cakes, so if you want one email Oli asap and give her the requisite 15 squid. Check out Beast Products for tackle sacks and the like. It was Matt who hurt himself at the weekend, so they clearly make gear you can believe in.

Oli is far more likely to sell you a belay belt if you’ve submitted your Oh Henry article. Get writing kids.

Chris has got hold of some heavy duty sacks for people who don’t have Bernies bags, so if you want some Animal feed scented caving kit get in touch (cheers for those Daf).

2010 HOODY

Hello fellow cavers, the design for the 2010 Hoody is now up. The design is not a new design but it keeps things simple and doesn’t take too much faffing in exam times.

From next year I will make sure that the hoodys are available to Freshers, whether it’s me in charge of them or someone else. I aim to have the hoodys ready for the AGM.

Any thoughts or ideas are welcome.

T-shirts

ACC t-shirts seem to be like buses…you wait ages for one then 2 come at once…

Anyway, shit joke aside, Clare expedition t-shirts are done – collect them from Tim at the social this week.
Club t-shirts will be £13 and orders need to be with Tim by Friday 26th March. Final designs are below (click to enlarge).

T-shirt competition

T-Shirt?

The Club are getting new t-shirts, and want you to come up with a new design. Think you can do better than the current Anarchy symbol? Then get drawing! You don’t have to be artist for this – you can just draw a sketch so we get the general idea; It can then be drawn up proper later by someone else. Bring drawings to the social and over the next few weeks we’ll all decide which one we want to go with…
